Why speak at WordCamp?<\/h4>\n

Red carpet, fame, a fancy icon on your wordpress.org profile page…\u00a0Seriously though,\u00a0speaking at WordCamp is one of many ways to contribute to the WordPress project.<\/p>\n

Who\u00a0are we\u00a0looking for?<\/h4>\n

Fans of WordPress willing to share their enthusiasm for this CMS with others, in accordance to the rule \u201cConnect, Inspire, Contribute.\u201d<\/p>\n

How will we select the speakers?<\/h4>\n

Each proposal will be examined carefully for its substantive value. We prefer presentations of high educational value and ones\u00a0that inspire participants to explore the possibilities of WordPress. We welcome presentations that will encourage participants to actively contribute to the WordPress project\u00a0and get involved in the WordPress community.<\/p>\n

We will not accept sales presentations focusing on the promotion of a particular product or person. If you have a product associated with WordPress and wish to show it off,\u00a0we suggest that you prepare a presentation about a problem that your product solves and present alternative solutions (it is a good idea to make a comparative analysis).<\/p>\n

GPL license<\/h5>\n

Remember that all of the presented products, both free and commercial, should be available under the GPL license (or compatible with GPL).<\/p>\n

Tracks<\/h4>\n

This year, we will have three tracks \u2013 see their description below. In the application form, pick one that best fits your presentation.<\/p>\n

Business Track<\/h5>\n

This track is dedicated to presentations that show WordPress in the context of business solutions, e-commerce, work organization and large-scale projects.<\/p>\n

Developer Track<\/h5>\n

Both back-and and front-end. If you want to present a\u00a0case study on\u00a0implementing interesting ideas or just want to share your knowledge of\u00a0WordPress \u2013 this is the right path for you. However, be sure that the code you present follows\u00a0best practices suggested by the WordPress developers.<\/p>\n

User\/Blogger\/Designer Track<\/h5>\n

This track is for people who use WordPress without exploring the details of its implementation. We suggest not to delve into\u00a0technical details but to focus on how to solve common problems that the less technically minded WordPress users face. We welcome presentations related to visual design solutions for WordPress.<\/p>\n

You can submit several proposals for presentations.<\/strong><\/p>\n
